The method

How training is run

Recruitment does not reward effort. It rewards a time on a stopwatch, a measurement against a standard, and a mark on a paper. Everything at the academy is organised backwards from those three things.

01 — Five stages

From your first assessment to selection day

No two candidates start in the same place. A nineteen-year-old who already runs daily and a candidate starting from nothing do not get the same plan.

01

Assess

Before anything is planned, your current running time, strength and academic level are checked. That gives a real starting number instead of a guess, and it is what every later week is measured against.

02

Train

Daily ground work builds endurance, speed and strength in the order that suits your body and the recruitment you are targeting. Training is supervised, not left to you to interpret.

03

Prepare

Written classes run alongside the physical training rather than after it. Candidates who leave the paper until the last month are the ones who clear the ground test and then lose the selection anyway.

04

Improve

Progress is checked against the standard you actually need to reach. Where you are short, that is where the work goes — not into the parts you are already comfortable with.

05

Perform

By the time you reach the rally or the examination hall, you have already done the thing you are about to be asked to do, in the same format, more than once.

02 — On the ground

Physical training

Recruitment tests are not a general fitness check. They are specific events with specific standards, and they are trained for as such.

Running & endurance

Timed running is the single event that removes the most candidates. Distance, pace and recovery are built up over weeks rather than attempted all at once.

Strength & conditioning

Body-weight strength, pull-ups and core work, built to a level that holds up on the day rather than peaking in training and collapsing at the rally.

Speed & agility

Short-distance speed, change of direction, and the jump events that appear in police and paramilitary physical efficiency tests.

Test-format practice

Events are practised in the order and format they are conducted in, so the day itself is familiar rather than a surprise.

Progress checks

Your times and measurements are re-checked as training goes on, so you know where you stand rather than hoping you are improving.

Routine & discipline

Daily attendance at a fixed time. Most candidates do not fail on ability; they fail on consistency, and a supervised routine is what fixes that.

On standards and timings. Physical standards are set by each recruiting authority and change between forces, states and recruitment cycles. The academy trains you against the standard current for your recruitment — always confirm the official notification for your own rally or examination.
03 — In the classroom

Written preparation

The written paper is where a physically strong candidate is most often lost. Classes are taken by experienced teachers and are built around the paper, not around general study.

  • Agniveer examination coaching
  • Central and state government examination preparation
  • Structured, exam-focused classes rather than open study
  • Practice papers and timed revision
  • Doubt-clearing directly with the teacher

04 — Who takes the training

Coaching staff

Physical training is taken by the academy's coaching staff, which includes a Para Commando coach. Written subjects are taken by experienced teachers.

Trainer profiles are being prepared. Names, service background, qualifications and years of experience will be published here once the academy has supplied and confirmed them. Nothing has been invented in the meantime.

Find out where you actually stand

Tell the academy which recruitment you are preparing for. You will be told what the training would involve and what the fee is — without being pushed.
